Strictly for gaming what is best?
i7 4710HQ and NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX850M 2GB DDR3 VRAM

or

i5-4210H and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M 2GB GDDR5

i'd have to go with the i7 for this, if it was a desktop, than i wouldve said i5.

But won't the DDR3 on the GPU make it worse for gaming? I've read that an i7 is unnecessary for gaming (the i7 is 50€/56 US$ more)

hmm, that may be a problem, is the i5 dual core? now im leaning toward the i5...

yes dual core with hyper threading, 2.9 base clock 3.5 with turbo
