Browser abbons and plugins

Are their any addons/plugins for chrome or firefox that prevent links from opening in new tabs. Not do to the browser, but the web site is setup where links automatically open in new tabs, I would like a plugin, that instead of opening the link in a new tab, it opens it in the same tab your on.

Already figured it out, changed a setting in firefox, now all tabs open on the current tab.
