Can I use Android Tablet as external monitor on Canon Vixia HF R700

Can I connect Canon Vixia HF R700 to Android Tablet through HDMI port on camera? I would like to use the tablet as a bigger screen than what is on the Canon Vixia HF R700.

You can not physically connect it to a Android Tablet.

No. The HDMI port on the tablet is output only.

My Fuji XT-1 can be (mostly) controlled from a tablet via WiFi or USB, but the performance is less than stellar.

Kanewolf - thank you. I think my connection looks like this.

Canon HDMI output --> input micro b on tablet.

I can buy an HDMI --> MHL cable but I am not sure it will work.

Also, The canon R700 is not wifi enabled.
