Can't boot laptop.

so i got this second hand HP elitebook 8530p that wont boot anymore the error message i get is [Non-System disk or disk error replace and strike any key when ready ]
when i hit the f9 key to go to boot option it only shows notebook etherent. and since this a second hand laptop i can't acces the bios since i need the password.

Reset the bios by pulling the battery out for a couple of mins?

First, you're not supposed to aid with any kind of password resetting.

Second, that does not work on laptops.
