converting westinghouse hd tv 4055 to smart tv

Hi. What is the best way to convert my TV to a smart TV? I do not have an HDMI port or a USB port and i would like to buy either appletv or an amazon firestick. I have a VGA input though . Is there a way to use the 15pin VGA ? thx

That is a big fat no.

VGA is, what we call LEGACY connectors, cassette, 8-track, no use.

Every box now wants HDMI (best), USB (OK).

Time to change TV.

One solution would be to use an HDMI to VGA plus audio converter like this one

You could also get a Roku box some of which have AV outputs or connect a computer with VGA and audio outs to the TV to get started.
