Cpu upgrade for HM55 chipset for hp dv6-3173ee

Hello.
I have HP dv6-3173ee with core i7 720qm processor and i bought core i7 840qm for upgrading. In hp data sheet it said that 840qm is one of the compatible processors. Yet I tried to upgrade but it did not work. The BIOS version is F.29 and iam using 8gb ram at 1333mhz and 512 gb ssd. So how to make it works, please.
Some people said i need to flash the BIOS which i do not know what is this and how to do it.
And is flasing the BIOS will really make it work???

Go to HP support site, you should find support section for your particular model (there's search by serial number). In the "Downloads" section, there should be "BIOS Updates".

I searched for that and my bios is the latest bios version F.29 and still when i put the new cpu it dose not work. Thats why i think hp did not support that upgrade in reality but they just put it in the manual!!, i dont know. And i do not think that the new cpu 840qm dose not work. It is new tested one
