Dell Laptop studio xps L502x switched on but screen not working and CPU fan making noise

Hi,
My Dell laptop Dell Studio XPS L502X is not working.I have switched it on but the screen is blank even though the power is on and CPU fan is making noise as if the CPU is overheated. I have tried many times but it is not working. Please let me know if there is remedy to this

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help in solving the issue.
- Start by doing a hard reboot, remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter then press and hold the power button then see if it will boot up normally with the display.
- If this will not work, connect an external display and see if you'll get any display from it. If you'll see a display on the external monitor press the Windows key + P at the same time and select "Computer Only" then see if you'll get the display back on the built in display.
- If there's still no display on the external display proceed with reseating the RAM's, remove them all for couple of seconds then put them back in making sure everything is seated properly.
- And if this will still not work do contact Dell for a repair if its still under the factory warranty.
