DTS or Dolby Digital with my Xbox/TCl/LG soundbar

TCL TV, Xbox One X, LG SK5Y Dolby Digital/Std usage.

Very complex here but I'm simply trying to make my Xbox have max audio capability. I have my Xbox connected directly to TV and my soundbar connected into ARC CEC control. Can the soundbar support a throughput to the Xbox to enable Dolby Digital or DTS? Or do I need a direct connection?

If it helps anyone, I cannot use a direct connection because the soundbar doesn't support 4K pass through. Any workarounds?

However, maybe my issue is irrelevant because I do not yet have all of my speakers, currently only a 2.1 system. Upgrading soon though.

If the audio output of the TV supports 5.1 bitstream then you can connect the soundbar (or any other set up) to the TV for DD or DTS (but not lossless audio codecs like Dolby TrueHD).
The console connects to the TV with HDMI.

I'm not sure if the TCL p605 / p607 does support that, however. When I attempt to enable DTS or Dolby Digital within the Xbox One, it says it isn't capable.

However, the TCL has an audio selection menu with all formats, implying that it is fully capable of outputting bitstream. I wish there was a way to know for sure. Auto formatting through HDMI pegged the soundbar for DTS/Dolby Digital+
