Solved! Dvi and audio

Hello,

I don't understand most of what I read here.

I have a HDTV w/ DVI and left/right audio input. I have a 10' HDMI cable. I have a laptop w/ HDMI output.

I want to play DVD's on my laptop and watch AND LISTEN to them on my HDTV. Is there a simple solution that doesn't involve opening my computer or TV?

You need to purchase an HDMI to DVI + audio converter. Google it. You will need the correct cables as well.
