My laptop has a motherboard power cable made up of 6 smaller cables (red, white, blue, yellow, black and grey). Right near the motherboard end the yellow cable has a split in the insulation leaving the wire exposed. I believe the yellow wire may be the live 12V (or could possibly be the ground).
I am interested in thoughts as to whether insulation tape is sufficient in this case to deal with this problem?
