Hi, a friend of mine just bought a Macbook Pro i7 laptop. He gave me his old HP dv9000 Pavilion Entertainment pc notebook and it, of course, doesn't come with a Vista OS dvd, but it's loaded on a partition. You know how it goes.

I may buy a bigger hard drive for it, but I would like to extract Vista from the partition and create an updated version and burn to a dvd with all the latest updates, if possible.

Anyway, I have a few questions and would appreciate any suggestions.

1. Is it possible to extract Vista from the partition and slipstream it with the latest updates and burn to a dvd?

2. Is it hard to add a hard drive to a laptop?

3. Could you provide me some links to tutorials/videos showing this being done?

Thank you in advance.

By the way, my friends Macbook Pro is bad@$$! Man, that thing is sweet! It came with an OS DVD, too.

1 I used to use norton ghost to do this all the time but it was years ago so I can't really give any instructions.
2 Its straight forward to swap it for a larger one but most laptops can't take a second one.
3 sorry no
