Solved! hdmi arc connectivity to sony hometheatre

my hisense tv keeps showing a pop message 'arc device connect' and loosing sound. this happened after enabling the hdmi CEC and again chose device list, what can i do

Are you using the TV optical audio output to the HTS?
You can use the ARC instead if you turn it on and select the HTS.
Or you can turn off CEC.

am using the arc and when i turn off the CEC only the TV speakers respond

You can check with Hisense but if you can't get it working try optical instead,
