hdmi issue no sound..icon not appearing on playback list to be selected

Hi Im having the same problem I have a dell laptop with windows 10 and cant find the icon for the TV on the playback list!
tried all sorts
can someone help please

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help in solving the issue.
- Start by checking if your TV is set as the default Playback Devices.
- Right click on the speaker icon and select Playback Devices, if your TV is listed or anything showing HDMI right click on it and select Set Default.
- If these doesn't work do uninstall/reinstall the graphics driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the Graphics card driver.
- Next is to check Programs and Features as well and uninstall anything related to your graphics card.
- Once done, do download and install the latest driver from the manufacturers site.
- Reboot your laptop once the latest driver has been installed.
- After the reboot do test it again and see if the problem will be solved.
