hello guys, i got a asus G551 jk. i have been using it today. updating the software etc.

i installed MSI afterburning to check on my stuff. it says the temp of all my cpu is between 60-75 degrees c! i am only updating software and i can hear the fan!

i tried with RalTemp and got the same results...

what is going on? is it normal to get that high temperature ? i already kind of high what if i start watching a movie in hd or playing any kind of game? it will sky rocket!

as far as i understand i am in the near end of high temperatures and i am not doing any heavy work on my laptop. am i over exaggerating? is it normal?

btw the cpu is i74710hq.

My laptop has an i7-4810mq and idles at 40-45 degrees c, so yes, your temps seem high to me. How long have you had the laptop? Could the heat sink fins be clogged with dust?

it seems the updates gave the laptop a hard work.

i left it idle and the temp is between 45-50 degrees C.
when browsing it goes to 50+ and if i watch a video in youtube it can get more than 60. if i watch at 1080 it gets all the way up to 70+ degrees Celsius.

is it too high for under load? or i should not worry ?
