I am trying to connect my old Philips home theater (HTS3540) to my PC but I have no idea what cable to use or if one even exists.
The home theater has only 3 RCA outputs (red, white, yellow) and a SCART port. My PC has all the required AUX connectors built into the motherboard. Please let me know if you know anything on this topic.

Your only option is to connect the green audio output on the PC to the aux input on the HTS. Set that for a surround mode like Dolby Prologic. You won't get digital surround sound since the HTS doesn't have a digital audio input.

i already have it connected like that but this way only 2 speakers and the sub are functioning and the other 3 are silent. Is there any way I can play audio on all speakers(even if they all play constantly with to surround sound)?

That is your only option with the HTS you have. It only has a stereo input.
Try the different surround modes. AVR usually have a mode that plays all the speakers in stereo. HTS systems may not have this kind of mode but should have something that will give you some surround sound.

How does one switch to said mode?
