I have a KLH DA 1402 DVD player and an JBL power bass PB12, the bass is powered, and has speaker connection ports on it. I bought the whole thing for 20 bucks at my church thrift shop, it also came with two speakers that have wire ports on the rear> I can hook the player to the power bass line level in, but then I get no sound out of the other speakers when I try to hook to the high level out (or in) ports, The player has no internal amp. I am only using this in my work shop and want it to be loud while not driving my wife nuts. thanks, ed mansfield
You will need some kind of amplifier for the speakers since the sub is not designed to power the other speakers. This can be a stereo receiver, integrated amplifier, or basic power amplifier if it has a volume control. Something like these might be OK: http/www.parts-express.com/brand/lepai/471
