I replaced an excel file with the other one how do i recover it

i overwrote an excel file with the other one how do i recover it?

try with file recovery softwares like Recuva or stellar phoenix data recovery

It depends on how you deleted it. Was the file manually deleted (placed in recycle bin and emptied), or did you perform a Save as... directly from Excel and prompted yes when asked to replace existing file?
If you used the first method try the software manojgj suggested and you'll be able to recover it. If you used the second method, it's pretty much gone, because the whole data was replaced.
