I already have a gaming desktop, but now I would like a gaming laptop. I will be playing modern games like Skyrim, Max Payne 3, and the occasional FPS game. Also, I would like to play those games on high settings, with a budget of $1000. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks again.

I tend to frequent www.xoticpc.com to get my gaming laptops. They have a super large selection, lots more upgrade options, and sometimes you can choose to leave out the OS to save money (providing you have an OS). I have a Sager laptop from there and I love it. Spent $1,200 on it for better specs than a $300 more expensive XPS.

The Y510 is a good option. alienware is good. have you tried looking at an ASUS n56 JR? those come with a 4700hq and a 760m. the y510 has the advantage of SLI but i prefer having a single potent video card than SLI. another good thing with the ASUS is its quiet and still keeps its cool. (temps usualy stay around 85 under prime 95 and MSI kombuster)
