Work late to trying to watch tv thru my cox cable box into Xbox1. No hdmi port on cable box. Just dvi. Is there a piece I can by to make this qork

Your cable box doesn't have an hdmi port? Are u sure? Is it very old or something? Depending on which dvi port you have yes you can buy a dvi to hdmi adapter but the dvi port has to support a digital output. Look at this link it shows the different types.

Check that article Dunlop0078 linked to and compare the DVI connectors listed to the DVI port on your cable box. Let us know if it's DVI-I, or DVI-D, etc.
