Installing 2nd tv onto one Direct tv receiver that is connected to dvr.

My husband recently had direct tv come out and install a dvr. He neglected to have them connect our 2nd tv in the bedroom. I have a coaxial cable running from the bedroom tv but cannot figure out how to connect to this new stuff they put on. Its a black box with colored coax connections connected to it and then another black box with two connections on one end and one connection on the other end. I do have a splitter from the old system somehow I think I need to use that also. Can you please help? I don't have the funds to have direct tv come out again and hook this up. thank you
