Can i upgrade my intel i7-2670QM laptop processor to a Intel i7-3840QM processor? Im was thinking of building a gaming desktop but decided to upgrade my computer processor. But i dont know if it will work or what i have to do.
The 2760QM is plenty powerful enough for gaming. If you're upgrading purely for gaming purposes, I would say no, since you won't see that much of a performance increase for gaming, considering your GPU isn't all that powerful anyways.
No, they use different sockets (rPGA988A vs rPGA988B). What laptop do you have?
I just looked up the intel i7 2670QM and the intel i7 3840QM and they seem to have the same socket type
