Laptop not performing good when unplugged Please Help

When my laptop is unplugged it doesn't have a really good performance and I still have my power settings on High Performance when it is unplugged. When my laptop IS plugged in, it performs really good and even better when unplugged. Is there any why I can have the same good performance (when plugged) when my laptop is unplugged?

I know that, but is there any way to have the same performance when plugged? When I unplug I have it on High Performance but I just want it to have the same performance when plugged in.
