Hello everyone,

Lastnight I was updating my amd software to the crimson edition. After the installation was finished I was told to restart my laptop so the new amd version can take effect. After the reset my laptop now freezes at the hp logo loading screen, and my keyboard is unresponsive. Also my hdd light on my laptop turns on then goes to a blinking phase after that it turns off and then it will sometimes turn back on just to blink then turn off again. Any help on fixing this would be greatly appreciated.

My Specs

Operating system: Windows 10 Home 64

Memory: standard4 GB DDR3 SDRAM

Hard drive: 500 GB 5400 rpm SATA

Processor: AMD Quad-Core A6-5200
APU: Radeon HD 8400 Graphics

Thankyou.

Solution
Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help.
- First is to do a hard reboot, remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds then try booting it up again.
- If it gets stuck on the HP screen try loading in BIOS and reset its defaults. Press F9 to reset the defaults then press F10 to save and exit.
- If it will still not get pass the HP screen, turn off the laptop and remove the HDD.
- Power the laptop again without the HDD and see if it will get pass the HP logo.
- If the laptop will get pass the HP logo that could mean that the problem is the HDD.
- But if it will still get stuck then that could mean that the problem is the motherboard.
- Last option would be to reset...

- Last option would be to reset BIOS but this time you'll need to open the laptop and remove the CMOS battery which in on the motherboard.
