LG To Amp

I have a 32 inch lg hdmi flat screen tv that only has an optical output and my amp does not have one. I have tried various ways of connecting them both so that the sound from the tv goes through my amp, but cant seem to get it to do that.

If anyone has any idea how please let me know..

Hello,

If your amplifier (make/model?) don't have an optical input, you could use the headpone output from your TV (what exact model?) or use a SCART-to-RCA adapter.

There is no headphone port on the tv.. My amp is a sony which is quite a few years old now, and no optical port with it, and the LG TV.. I bought about a month ago..The only output my tv has is the optical output...

I looked link you shared and it was what i needed but I looked on amazon instead as im in the UK and found what im pretty certain i am looking for so thank you american
