log me in software to access external drive for cloud use

This had to do with different things but basically uses the free log me in software to use a laptop elsewhere to log in to a home pc and access a external hard drive .
My question is can it be done to watch my movies on my laptop from my external hard drive . like a cloud for instance if i am right the movies will just play on my media player on the laptop or can it be done this way or would i have to download them to the laptop ?
I hope someone can answer this as i haven't done it yet wanted to see if anyone knew about it first !
I hope to use this like a cloud for my own personal use .

the first question is do you have enough Upload speed on you internet connection at home to even stream video?

3Mbps Upload speed will most likely not be enough

no i don't have the speed , so probably wouldn't work i only have like 1.5 mbps another thing to would be if i was at Mc Donalds using their free wi fi , don't know what their speed is either but not really fast , maybe the same as what i have at home .
