Media player classic won't play vc1 encoded movies

I got a vc1 encoded movie but mpc won't play it. I can only play it in powerdvd
I tried installing Windows media sdk 11 for vista, and configure libavcodec in ffdshow.
neither of them worked.
What should I do?
