Solved! Media streamer for wifi access on Samsung smart TV?

My Samsung smart TV (55ES6100) Wi-Fi access won't work. I have concluded that this is a Samsung TV issue, not an IPS issue.
If I install a media streamer in the TV, would the streamer provide the Wi-Fi access I need to watch Netflix?

Yes. An external box will potentially provide that capability.
