Hi guys,
I am off to college next week and haven't had the best luck on finding a laptop that can play games below $600. As long as I can run at native resolution that would be perfect, because that's what makes games look good. Not 1080p, at least in my opinion. I'm looking for at least a 15 inch laptop, and while I'm not looking to run BF3, I would like to be able to run some games even at low quality. Games I still have to beat (or I would like to play) are: Call of Duty, Borderlands 1 and 2, Counter Strike Source and GO, Garry's Mod, Half Life 2, Left For Dead 2, Hotline Miami, Mirrors Edge, Sniper Elite V2, Spec Ops: The Line, Team Fortress 2, The Binding of Isaac.
Keep in mind, that it is not mandatory to be able to run all of these games, but I would like to be able to run some. I am also a college student so I need the computer for writing essays and research, which means battery life is important. I'm also considering getting into video editing, but this is optional. I don't think Windows 7 or 8 matters...? 320 GB or more would be great for a harddrive. I would like the battery life to be at least 3 hours. I can buy from anywhere as long as they offer a warranty, and have a damage plan. DVD drive would be perfect.
This might be a stretch here, but I really am hoping to get a laptop that can run SOME of these games at native resolution, even if they're at low settings. Also, I do not trust Fry's electronics. They have given me horrible customer service in the past, and I would just like avoid them. Also, I live in the US.
Thank you!
