Hello
I'm an architecture student and I'm looking for a laptop for my cad work and general everyday use and I have a budget of up to 1200$
I'm currently thinking on getting the dell ispirion 7567 with the i7 cpu
http://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/productdetails/inspiron-15-7567-laptop/dncwf510s

My question is:
Is these gaming gpu's like the 1050ti would be a good choice?
i know that the quadro and xenon systems are much better for cad but I can't find these in my bouget

What is your opinion?

That link doesn't send me anywhere.

Regarding CAD use, yes i7s and geforce GPUs can run most CAD applications no problem. The only reason why you get Quadro+Xeon systems is because they have some security features and are more reliable in the long therm. Quadro GPUs also support 10 bit panels for better visuals.

However, since you are only a student. I don't think you need to spend that much money on professional CAD systems.

Since you didn't specify any software you'll be working on. I do not know if a GTX 1060 is worth it over the 1050 ti

But this page has hardware recommendations for different applications so you can see how much CPU, GPU and RAM you need

They actually test out different combinations so it is a reliable source:

If you are playing games get a 1060 for sure, but if you just want to have a smooth experience on CAD work, it depends.

But at the end of the day a 1060 is only about 50 or 100 dollars more expensive and when it comes to pure compute performance the 1060 blasts the 1050 ti

it is up to you, I'll leave you three options with GTX 1050, 1050 ti and 1060 respectively

Thank you for your respond. and sorry i voted by mistake.
in need to ran autoca, revit, skechup+veray ect.
I believe that texture and light rendering are the biggest challenge this system would need to work on.
I saw the sager systems but I'm living in Israel and sager doesn't have representation here for repairs in case of a hardware problem.
I'm looking for something from the big brands like dell, Lenovo or even msi.
I'm also hoping for a laptop that can go throw a day on its battery and by mobile to serve other schoolwork stuff
