My motherboard sucks (i have the asus m32cd) so i only have one PCIe which is used by my 1060. I have a mvne. So right now is there anything i can do with it or is it worthless to me and better used as a kickball? This is for my desktop but mobile didnt give me an option as a topic

Without a slot to install it, you're sort of out of luck to get full speed out it. Get a M.2 to 2.5 inch SATA enclosure, like this: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA6V84GH9574&Description=m.2%20sata%20adapter&cm_re=m.2_sata_adapter-_-9SIA6V84GH9574-_-Product. Eventhough it will run at sata III speeds, it will still be a whole lot better than running your OS and programs off of a HDD.

Send the NVMe drive back. Or sell it if you can't send it back. Or save it for a new system.

Don't bother with any adapters.
Get a regular 2.5" SSD for a lot less $$ per GB.
