PC no longer has HDMI audio when headphones are plugged into monitor

I plugged in a transcription headset and then unplugged it. Plugged speakers back in. Now PC no longr has HDMI audio. Says unplugged. What to do, please, anyone?

You have to open the audio software and change the settings.

Went to properties to "change settings" and it just says "device is working properly." Help?
