pocket outlook and pop3 question.

I have pocket outlook wm2k3 on a hp 5555 conecting to a POP3 (earthlink.net
account) It works however----
Once messages are read either web mail (directly from web site) or pocket
outlook, the mesages are not shown anymore when I ask to connect the next
day to check for mail. So I only can see once new mail.
How do I get to my PPC old /read mail to stay or be resent to my PPC. I like
to compose replies and new mail on the PPC then later send them. I often
sync up with POP3 (earthlink) account and find 0 messages?
MSN always shows me all mail new,read,whatever with no problems. I am
assuming it part of the definition of POP3 vs Http accounts.
If somebody has facts on this difference and/or solution to keeping
earthlink(POP3) on my PPC please do respond.

When you set up your POP3 account on your device, make sure you don't have
it set to only show you messages received in the last day.

What do you use to get your POP3 mail from earthlink on your desktop? make
sure your desktop email client isn't removing emails from your server when
receive them.

Rather than using POP3 rather set you device to connect through IMAP and
only recieve the headers, this works extremly well with Exchange.

Good answers. I however know that it may be possible to use both a desktop
outlook to get mail I however have not. I was hoping to use just the PPC to
recieve mail.
(Brian's idea) Note I am set to recieve all messages without any limitation
of days. I even set it and unset it to see that for my self. No change. Also
I except both headers and body/attachemnts as well.

Now Roberts's idea: I have no practical experience in setting up an IMAP? I
am just following a tech message from earthlink. Use POP3. It seems I do not
have a choice? If an email service is POP3 I can NOT ask for my mail another
way? I wish to me autonomous from my desktop, send and recieve mail via
WiFi. Hey it's slicker that way!

So Can I do it? is there a step I missed? What else should I try.

I a simple explaintion I wish to see all messages header and body on my PPC.
I do not know how to make this happen or why it can not. I need to know
more.

Hi there, I've got a T-Mobile Pocket PC version 2002. When I try and send
emails from my device I get the following message: "Messages cannot be
downloaded to your mobile device. Make sure you are connected and that your
email service settings are correct. Then, try to download messages again."
It follows with a second message: "The message(s) could not be sent. Check
that you have network coverage and that your account is correct. Then try
sending again."

My setup:
- I have a T-Mobile smart card installed
- I can connect with the internet from the device: I can browse the web,
send/receive webmail (e.g., yahoo mail).
- I have set up service with my ISP (Comast) on my laptop and my Pocket PC.
- I can receive incoming emails to my pocket PC via my ISP service
- I can Active Sync between the Pocket PC and my laptop.

Please help me trouble shoot.
