Power supply connector on motherboard

Hello,

I have replaced a keyboard in a laptop, but when disambling the laptop ,
the plastic of the powerswitch popt out.
As you can see, the pins are still there and the white clipper is still intact,
question, how do i get this clipper back in without damaging it?

If the latch came off, chances are the little bumps on the side (that sit in the socket) have worn down/snapped off.

Getting it secured back, is tough. Best route (IMO) would be to place it back in as secure as you can, and tape it in place. Something like electrical tape probably makes the most sense, although regular tape should work just fine.

Unfortunately, that's not going to be an overly secure hold - and you may find through moving the laptop in daily use that it'll find a way back out.
