Looking for a decent monitor in the 24-27'' range.
Mainly going to use it for work, i.e. programming and reading.
Have an oldish Phillips 22'' now, but need at least one more.
Might add a third one at some point.
Have a desktop and an excellent NVIDIA card (Titan X) for work.
It might be good if I can turn it around, sometimes useful for writing code.
Budget is 300 EUR.

Solution
If you wanna use a monitor mainly for working,
I would recommend an IPS 16:10 monitor.
16:10 is more comfortable than 16:9 for work.
For me, IPS is somehow more comfortable to look at, if I have to look at the monitor for hours.
Ergonomic is also important if you plan to work with the monitor.
Looking from price point of view, I could not find 27" 2560*1600.
The only ones available are the 24" 1920x1200 in USD300 price class.
There are plenty 24" IPS 1920x1200 monitors on the market, I have a Dell U2412M at home since 3 years and in the office I am using 2 U2412Ms.
Ah, This monitor is also fast enough for gaming, if you wanna play games on it.
The ergonomic of U2412M is also excellent, the build quality is also excellent too.
