So I just replaced an old hard drive because it wasn't working anymore, that's what geek squad told me anyway. I turned on my laptop and it said no bootable device. I press enter and then it says "Default Boot Device Missing or Boot Failed. Insert Recovery Media Media and Hit any key Then select 'Boot Manager' to choose a new Boot Device or to Boot Recovery Media". I click ok and then shows me a boot manager boot option menu and there's nothing for me to choose from. I don't know what to do from here and if someone could guide me through procedures that'd be greatly appreciated. If it helps, the laptop is an Acer E5-571-56WG.

Do you see the drive in BIOS? I once had a computer that wouldn't detect a hard drive anywhere until I installed it into another machine and formatted it, I have no clue why this was the way but it was.

What's BIOS? Sorry I'm not very knowledgeable with this stuff.
