Samsung NP-RV510-A05US No boot - Motherboard or CPU?

Hello,
I have a Samsung NP-RV510-A05US that has a 2.3ghz Intel Processor. Lately the laptop started just shutting off on its own and it progressively got worse. Fan was always running and never felt hot. Power adapter jack in unit is solid and when I plug it in, the charging light immediately comes on. I did try another power adapter but same results which now are nothing. Just the light comes on when plugged in, nothing turns on at all when I press the power switch.
Since the motherboards are expensive for this model, I'm wondering if I should try replacing the processor first. No matter what I do, nothing powers up, no drives, nothing just dead.

laptops will still turn on with an existing cpu even if it is faulty but it wont post, it will remain at a black screen. Could be your power cable, on samsungs RV they are rubbish.

I checked the adapter socket on the motherboard and it seems solid. Just to rule it out since I didn't have another one, I purchased a new power plug and its just dead, still doesn't power up. I know before it totally stopped responded, it would be in constant cycle where the LED's would flash, then it would shut off, then it would flash, then off again before it just totally wouldn't do anything. It sure seems like a power issue, but I'm ruling out the power plug, and may measure the board at the connector to see if power is getting past that.
