[citation][nom]Kelavarus[/nom]Sooo... How did they test that this will last for 100 years?[/citation]
They didn't

Why use removable media.... especially so small just begs to get misplaced or intentionally lost if it goes against the prosecutors case.

So what if the card lasts 100 years? I bet it is so easy to misplace that thing! Hahaha.

99 years later:

Archivist: "Cool, and old 100 year SD card - lets load these files from this card to see what is on them!"

[Archivist puts them in the reader with a click.]

Computer: "Sorry, that file type is unknown and cannot be opened."

Archivist: [pouts] "Awwww drat."

View image, print screen, retouch, save on new WORM SD Card, destroy old one, replace with new one.

Seriously, like we're even going to have anything that will read SD Cards in 100 years. Does anyone still use 5.25" floppy disks? Those didn't even come close to 100 years. Sounds kinda silly to ensure that data will last on a format for 100 years. Someone is going to have fun transferring the files to a new media format eventually.

Right, they better be careful for something so small knowing how corrupt the legal system is.

Ok, so the SD cards are special, do they have to use a special writer as well or will anything capable of writing to an SD card do?

PRON BACK UP!

Japanese people, don't you think I don't know the truth behind it?!

Police records... Yeah right...

Cheers! XD!

[citation][nom]mcg75[/nom]LOL. What exactly does a statue of limitations look like?[/citation]
I'm guessing a wall blocking off areas you can't go too?

They put it in a time machine.
