■ I want to reset back to factory settings but
0 key method does work. I have windows 7 installed. Can anybody help please?.

Solution
If you are sure you are doing the right steps with holding in the 0 key while turning it on and waiting for it to beep, you can use a Windows 7 OEM disk to just install Windows on the laptop, then download the drivers from Toshiba for your system. You will be able to activate it with the code on the laptop. If you don't have a disk you will need to find one either order one from Toshiba or check locally at computer shops or craigslist. Just make sure you get the official MS disk, even if it's a copy of one, not a cracked or modified disk.
