second monitors on laptops.

Hi- I have an Acer timelineX 1810T which I'm running in dual monitor mode with a Dell 1908 monitor. I can't find specs on the IntelHD graphics card to figure out if I can go up to a 27" either 2560X1440 or 1920X1080

Any thoughts?

For Windows 7, right-click an empty part of the desktop & choose "Screen resolution".
On the right of the resolution bar is a drop-down arrow.
Click that and you'll see a vertical slider.
Move slider up or down to see what resolutions the graphics card supports.

Even if the resolution you need is not available at the top end, Windows will automatically adjust or "stretch" the image to fill the screen, but the trade-off with that is less clarity & sharpness which you may or may not notice.

Right, got that, thanks. I was hoping to find out what the upper limit of this card would be for upgrading the monitor.
