DVD player connects to the TV. Not even sure how you can connect it to the cable box, does it have a video input?

WIFI is wireless so you don't physically connect the BD player to anything other than your wireless network. Follow the instructions in your owners manual.
If your WIFI restricts your streaming then you would need to connect an ethernet cable from the RJ45 jack on the BD player to your router.
