Video Software Conversion

I just got a new router that supports DLNA shares over USB and wanted to upload my family videos of the newborn. My dilemma is that my video camera uses mpg format one of our phones is 3GP that has a lot of old video. My older camera records on tape so that will be a entirely other issue capturing it from that. I want to get to MP4 or WMV format as that seems to be pretty standard for DLNA.

I've tried AVS4You and it seems to take 4 times as long as the video to convert if you are lucky. I've tried the Hamster Free Video Convertor very slow also. I have Aura Video Converter that seems to be ok in speed but fails often in conversion.

Does anyone have a video conversion software that is decently fast but also has decent quality, or am I just dreaming of something that doesn't exist?

Hi hockeyguyinoc,

U can use
xmedia_recode.gif

It encodes everything u'll throw at it, and it has great setting options. So u have a great control.

And if u want .mp4, use HandBrake, there is nothing better, period! Quality wise.
