Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 15:

Right now they are both the same price. The only difference that I care about in the two is that the Asus has an i7, where as the Lenovo has an i5. The Asus also has 4gb ram, and a hybrid 24gb ssd/500gb hdd, and the Lenovo has 8gb ram and 128gb ssd.

I am going to be using this ultrabook for college. Which is the better choice? I'm kinda leaning toward the Asus because of the i7 and I can just upgrade the ram when I get it. HELP!

Yes the ram is upgradeable. The only drawback I'm having with the Asus, is that its an open box. People are saying on the reviews that they are getting everything that was originally included, and that the Asus 1yr warrantee still comes with the computer.

I can't advise you on that. A lot would depend on the reliability and reputation of the seller.

Thanks for all that. I don't care about the graphics. This is solely for the purpose of student use. I have a gaming rig at home. I want an ultra book. Also, on cpu compare even though the i7 is an older model, it still wins out over the i5. By .4 or something like that. A ssd is necessary. Do you recommend any others for this price?
