My friends saved her word document and reopened it. The text on each each page has been replaced by its respective page number. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I am using Windows 10 and MS Office 2010. Recently I received a doc file in HIndi. When I open it I see only junk characters. Please guide me to view this file in Hindi.
