Hi, I'm looking for an good portable with gaming, adobe, and video editing in mind. I have narrowed it down to two canadates:

ATVI Book 8

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung-ativ-book-8-15-6-touch-screen-laptop-intel-core-i7-8gb-memory-1tb-hard-drive-bare-metal/8965053.p?id=1218957864443&skuId=8965053

VS

Q550LF

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-15-6-touch-screen-laptop-intel-core-i7-8gb-memory-1tb-hard-drive-aluminum-black/3703007.p?id=1219093053506&skuId=3703007&st=ASUS%20Q550LF-BSI7T21&cp=1&lp=1

I'd be mostly be using it for school stuff (CAD, DID.ect), maybe a bit of hobby stuff (refer to the top). I need it to have good battery but be powerful at the same time. One of the big problems for is the duel core i7 in the asus but it also has an better graphics card compared to the samsung which has an quad core i7 but a ok graphics card.

This PC has an i am typing on has an i7 3630QM processor with an GT 635M graphics card( just for comparison reasons). Oh, and I have to make the purchase from best buy.com Please help me!

Neither, there really isn't such a thing when it comes to gaming and ultra portability. You won't get the same frame rates you will on a desktop because you're using an ultra low power CPU and an ultra low power GPU. With ultrabooks you trade power for portability, plain as that.

I don't need 60-80 FPS i just need like 20-30 fps on games like planet side 2. Also, I don't need an "razer" thin laptop, i just need something that is portable yet powerful. If i wanted desktop, Id get an Alienware or an p510, or an desktop of cource. If i could, id get the inspron 15 7000 series from dell, but that isn't offered at best buy. :(
