I have a hdmi dvd and a polaroid tv. How do. I get the dvd to play?

Very simple. You trying to connect interface X to interface X. If second device doesn't have an interface X then what does it have? YOU TELL US. Assuming second device has interface Y then you will be looking for an X to Y converter.
