I have an older tv with rca jacks and wanted to hook up hte blue ray player to it. I have an HDMI cable that has HDMI cable

My blue ray wont play with my older tv even though i got an hdmi cable. It has HDMI on one end and the rca on the other. Why wotn it work?

Probably because the typical HDMI to RCA cable cannot convert the digital HDMI signal to the analog RCA signal.

You most likly will have to get some sort of actual converter. or maybe try a mystical HDMI to VGA if the TV has it however it really depends on downgrading from HD to SD
