Looking for solutions to Acer laptop battery issues

Recently, I noticed my Acer laptop battery won't charge when plugged in and the laptop automatically goes off once DC power goes out. I thought the battery was the issue, that is, until I got a new battery and the problem still persisted. What should I do?

Sounds like end of life to me. You can buy decent batteries online on e-Bay but don't go for the cheapest. Some mainly Chinese clones are sub-standard and have been known to cause fires. Just search for the whole make and model number from the base of the laptop.

You may as well remove the existing battery; it's doing nothing.
