Hey,

I'm fairly new to MacBooks and lowkey kind of hated them but now I am investing in a MacBook Air for school (Probably not the MacBook Pro or a Windows Laptop even though I'm a fan of Windows more).

If I get the MacBook Air, is 4GB of RAM enough? I will probably only be doing school-related tasks like Word-Processing, Email.etc and also home-entertainment stuff like watching Netflix/Movies, watching YouTube with multiple tabs open at once and also researching about various things on the web with probably 5-10 tabs opened at the same time with Spotify in the background, will my MacBook lag or will it be fine? What would make it lag? E.g: How many tabs open at the same time and background processes?

Also, will the Intel i5 Core with 1.3Ghz-2Ghz be enough for the tasks mentioned before? like will it lag or will it be fine?

I will probably also run Parallel/Boot Camp or whatever it is called, so I can also have Windows on my Mac too, once again, will it be fine? or does it require better parts? If so, can you list the minimum/required parts to go along with the Mac to make it run smooth.

Sorry for the long post and if it doesn't make sense at some parts, I am currently typing this at 2:40AM in the morning and wanted to include everything.

Thanks

I guess what they say will probably be true, better safe than sorry.

Plus, it has to last 2-3 years so might as well invest in a bit more on my MacBook Air.
