Mirror ipad air onto smart tv wirelessly without apple TV

Hi,

I have an IOS 8.4 ipad air and want to buy a samsung smart tv (UE43J5600). I would like to know if there is a way for me to mirror my ipad screen on my TV without buying the APPLE TV box. There is a mirroring app built in the TV but it will only work with samsung products so this is not going to work. Is there an app or an hack out there that I could use to solve my problem ?

Yes it is possible to pair your Samsung Smart TV to your iPad or iPhone. You need to download "iMediaShare" app from the App Store and you should be able to mirror your device. I installed it today and I was able to stream videos from my iPad
