No dolby signal throu. HDMI cable to TV

I have several new movies on a stand alone hard drive. When I connect and run them on my lap-top through a HDMI cable, the ones that have Dolby sound will not produce any sound. The movies without Dolby sound work just fine.

What can I do to get sound from the movies with Dolby sound?

The movies with Dolby may be 5.1 channel and the TV is 2.0 channel. You should be able to change this in the laptop audio console. Maybe can be adjusted in playback software.
